Historic Preservation

Restoring a historic structure is one of the joys of this profession.

It is important to recognize that preservation can take many forms.

While strict historic preservation is  at times the goal, much of my

work includes developing designs that respect the historic nature of

a building while adding to it or remodeling parts of it. Typically I take

cues from the existing building to inform a design for the new work.
